Beaches Bali
Find the best beaches in BaliIf you have ever dreamed of lying on a white sand beach in a tropical paradise, with blue water stretch out before you for miles, then you have dreamed of Bali. There are literally too many Bali beaches to mention them all. The entire island is rimmed with gorgeous white sand beaches, most of which are soft enough to walk on barefoot or even lie down on. The following are just a few of the highlights among the many amazing Bali beaches. Kuta BeachLocated in southern Bali, this municipal beach belongs to the lively city of Kuta and is home to a large range of shopping, nightlife and restaurants. While fenced on one side by the city’s airport, this does little to detract from the beauty and popularity of Kuta Beach, which is especially known for its spectacular daily sunsets. LovinaThis beach area in North Bali is known for its unusual black sand beaches, particularly near Kalibukuk. Lovina comprises at least seven traditional little villages, and the beaches here, while narrow, are quiet and, therefore safe for swimming. These beaches are great for more relaxed water activities, such as snorkeling and diving, but there is less surf here than along the beaches to the south. Candi DasaIf you are looking for a quiet beach town, this East Bali area is filled with pleasant waterfront villages. The town itself sits along an idyllic lagoon perfect for swimming or other gentle water activities. The nearby Amed is located on a jutting peninsula and offers some very nice surfing. This is not the part of Bali to find upscale resorts, but is perfect for anyone seeking peace and quiet. IslandsThere are a number of islands off of Bali’s coast that offer amazing, almost untouched beaches, along with wonderful jungle trekking and eco-friendly accommodation options. The southeastern islands like Lembongan are good for diving and snorkeling. Penida is a wild and untamed island, and Ceningan, the smallest of them, has plenty of diving and snorkeling spots. |
